״Crusades״  is a series of cartoons inspired by war stories of European monks and their Muslim adversaries in the 11th and 12th centuries. These stories are the basis of a series of vignettes that recount the hundred greatest failures of the Crusaders. The drawings do not follow a chronological order but showcase absurd moments of perpetual wars. They ridicule Western heroes and their Eastern rivals without distinction. All are portrayed as irresponsible war maniacs, inevitably doomed to failure.
